Mamas, 2023 is right around the corner, I know millions of people around the world will be making New Year resolutions and according to research only 85 percent of people fail because they lack accountability and lack planning. While vision boards are effective because they are a visual reminder of intentions and give clear directions. Ladies, there is power in envisioning the future you want. Once you have a vision for your life, your mind moves you toward it. When I listen to the inspirational stories of women like Lisa Nichols, Iyanla Vanzant who tell their stories of living off government assistance to now inspiring and training people all over the world to be entrepreneurs, writers, speakers, and live their life purpose. We might ask how exactly did they do it? the answer is they got intentional. These single mothers dared to envision a great life for themselves and their children. They did the work and reap the rewards.
1. If it works for Oprah it will work for us
I am not one to concern myself with celebrities and their personal lives. Because I know they are flawed humans just like the rest of us. However, I do understand the ones who inspire us may know something that we may not yet know. Every single inspirational men and women from Jim John, Steve Harvey, Oprah, Grant Cardone to Maya Angelou talked about the power of having a plan and a vision board. And these folks are multi millionaires and billionaires. If a vision board put in action works for them, I figure I better listen and apply, you might want to do the same. If nothing else is gained, you will develop focus and goals.
2. It will encourage you in your current season
There is nothing more powerful than a plan in motion. Knowing you have better coming somewhere down the line encourages you to try harder. I started to write down my vision for my life 3 years ago. I don't know if all of them will come to pass in my lifetime,, but I am excited to work towards them. When I see that board hanging on my bedroom wall day in and day out, I get inspired and that helps me to stay focus especially on my challenging days. Mamas, write your vision and let it inspire you to succeed.
3. You will become more focused and excited
The thing is the trade-off to spending hours cutting and pasting, writing and envisioning is the focus, organization, and excitement this activity builds in you. Believe it or not I am not the mom who even writes down a grocery list. I still don't, it's tragic. Lol. However, once I started writing down the things I want to achieve, it stirs up excitement within my soul, given me the clarity I need to achieve them. Your vision board will do the same for you.
4. It will help you implement your goals
The millions of single mothers who have become financially independent are not doing magic. Although it may seem like it. Every year what I write down comes true. Yes. they come true, even the house I envisioned it before I bought it years ago. Some people call it law of attraction. I call it following the word of God. I am not here to preach you into believing what I believe in. You can call our creator whatever you like, I call him God. In his word says “Write the vision and make it plain so that she who reads it may run with it.” Habakuk 2:3. You see writing things down keep them on the fore front of our minds and they will be sure come to pass.
5.They are fun to make
Let me keep it real, darling. They are fun to make, I get excited to make my every year like a child gets excited opening presents on Christmas morning. I get my children involve and have them write down the goals they want to achieve as well, it can be a small as making a couple of new friends the upcoming school year to where they would like for us to travel to as a family that upcoming year. And they too get very excited to be involved. Set a blue print for your children, write down your vision.
Set your intention for the upcoming year....
Listen to me, darling, "you cannot hit a target you cannot see. You must set your intention for the upcoming year.
